Labor

The OsteoCare Lab is the molecular biology research laboratory established in August 2024 at the University Clinic for Orthopaedics in Bielefeld.

It is currently under construction: Planning and equipping are in full swing, while laboratory furniture and equipment are gradually finding their way to Morgenbreede 3 in Bielefeld. In January 2025, our laboratory team will be strengthened by Marcel Hinkelammert so that our OsteoCare Lab can go into operation from March 2025 under the direction of PD Dr. Grotheer and the experimental research work can begin in earnest.

Projects

Here we present our current projects in the field of orthopaedic research. We would like to jointly advance research in the field of bone and cartilage regeneration, osteoporosis and bone metastasis.

Team

Since August 2024, we – the OsteoCare Lab team – have been combining our expertise to jointly initiate projects in the field of orthopaedic research at the Faculty of Medicine at Bielefeld University.
